RAID System Data Recovery

A properly designed and maintained RAID system can help prevent data loss from equipment failure. Unfortunately, a number of problems can arise which may cause even the best system to become damaged or corrupted, resulting in the loss of data.

Many high performance systems use a RAID 0 drive system (striped with no redundancy) for maximum speed. The lack of redundancy makes them vulnerable to the same problems which affect single drive systems; however, recovery of the data in these systems is complicated by the data being striped across multiple drives.

RAID systems provide unique challenges for data recovery. Simultaneous drive failure (often the result of improper heat dissipation), operator error, virus or other malicious attack, or any of a number of other possible calamities can cause the array to become inoperable or inaccessible.

These situations are beyond the capability of the RAID controller to repair the disk array. Typically, RAID controllers are designed to rebuild the data on a single drive which has failed during the operation of the system without losing any data.

We have developed a proprietary software program to expedite the recovery of data from RAID systems. This reduces the overall cost of recovering the data they contain. We realize that a lower cost is only a factor if we can actually recover your lost data, but our software allows us to recover a RAID system's data as effectively as doing it manually, while reducing the time and cost of the recovery.

So, what does this mean for you? If you have a RAID system which needs data recovery, you can count on our staff to provide you with fast, reliable service while keeping down the cost of recovering your data.
